Addressing the gender health gap through group benefit plans

March 04, 2025

This International Women's Day, together we can focus on empowering our Clients to take a leading role in addressing the gender health gap.

The theme underscores the pressing need to dismantle barriers faced by women, particularly in healthcare. As we intensify our efforts, we're committed to equipping you with the tools and strategies to help Clients enhance women's health support in their workplaces. Together, we can drive meaningful change and create more inclusive, health-conscious work environments.

We want to highlight two key resources:

  1. Women’s health toolkit. This new support contains educational resources, information on current research, available products, and best practices specific to women's health. It’s a great resource for identifying opportunities Clients may have to improve health supports in their workplace. It can also help you identify support gaps that may exist in the organizations you serve.
  2. Upcoming webinar – featuring Marie-Chantal Côté. Sun Life is a co-sponsor of an upcoming Globe and Mail webinar on supporting women’s health in the workplace. Marie-Chantal Côté, our Senior Vice-President, Sun Life Health, is one of the featured speakers. She’ll be discussing specific strategies for supporting women’s health and creating workplace cultures in which all employees can thrive.

The event takes place on March 24th at 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. E.T. Participation is free – and we encourage you to register

We’ll send a Focus Update to plan sponsors about these new resources on March 4, 2025.
