Change to co-insurance amount in Quebec
July 16, 2024
Read time: 1 minute
The Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) has made a change to the Quebec drug insurance plan. This change affects plan sponsors who provide drug coverage to plan members residing in Quebec.
Co-insurance (effective July 1, 2024). RAMQ has increased the minimum co-insurance (amount RAMQ pays) from 67% to 68%. There is no change to the annual out-of-pocket amount.
We’ve updated our systems to reflect this change. There will be no immediate rate adjustments due to the change. We expect minimal impact to plan members and on claim experience.
We’ll be sending this Focus Update to plan sponsors on July 18, 2024.
