Expanding Provider eClaims service to mental health and paramedical practitioners

We're excited to announce the extension of our Provider eClaims (direct billing) service to include additional mental health and paramedical practitioners. The expansion of this service will prevent plan members from paying out of pocket and having to submit their claims, improving the overall claim experience.

Key dates

This change is happening in three phases:

1. October 1, 2025 (Completed)
   • Psychologists
   • Social workers
2. December 1, 2025 (Upcoming)
   • Clinical counsellors
   • Psychotherapists
3. February 1, 2026 (Upcoming)
   • Chiropodists
   • Occupational therapists
   • Osteopaths
   • Podiatrists
   • Registered dieticians
   • Speech therapists

Benefits for plan members

This expansion offers several advantages:

• Simplified claims process
• Reduced out-of-pocket expenses
• Faster reimbursements
• Access to a broader network of health-care providers

Plan members can find health-care providers who offer direct billing by using Provider Search on mysunlife.ca. New providers can sign up for Provider eClaims, but there's a short waiting period before they can start processing claims electronically.
