Extending medical cannabis coverage to address chronic and neuropathic pain

We’re pleased to announce that our optional medical cannabis coverage now includes chronic and neuropathic pain. For Clients who’ve selected this option, this expansion provides more treatment choices for employees to manage their pain and aligns with industry standards.

To qualify, plan members need their doctor to complete our updated prior approval form and meet Sun Life’s coverage criteria.

We’ll share this information with Plan Sponsors in a Focus Update on January 22.
