Reminder: We’re Updating Prescription Drug Coverage to include Continuous Glucose Monitors + Other Changes to the Extended Health Care Plan
We previously communicated with you about some upcoming changes to Sun Life’s Extended Health Care (EHC) and Drug benefit plans. Taking effect March 1, 2026, Sun Life is harmonizing coverage for Continuous Glucose Monitoring systems (CGMs) under the Drug Benefit of your Extended Health Care (EHC) plan. This change simplifies coverage and enhances support for your plan members living with diabetes, while also managing plan sustainability.
As these changes take effect, we are also clarifying those terms that apply to either or both drugs and supplies.
For full details, please see our previous communication.
