Addition of the Sun Life State Street Index Funds to the Core investment platform
Plan sponsors may wish to consider whether this investment news has any implications for the investment options available within their plans. Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada purchases units of the fund listed below, which is established as a segregated fund in accordance with the Insurance Companies Act (Canada).
You don’t need to take any immediate action as a result of this announcement, but you may consider whether the new funds are a suitable addition to your line-up.
We’re pleased to announce the addition of five Sun Life State Street Index Segregated Funds (the Funds) to our core investment platform.

The funds are managed by SLGI Asset Management Inc. (“SLGI”). State Street Global Advisors, Ltd. (SSgA) is the sub-advisor. The Funds are the underlying components of the newly launched Granite Index+ Target Date funds.
The Funds seek to provide gross investment returns that track the performance of their respective index, as closely as possible, over the long term.
