Fraud prevention is top of mind year-round

Our industry-leading approach to fraud risk management has saved plan sponsors approximately $300 million between 2014 and 2024.1 Keep fraud prevention top of mind year-round with our 'Was that fraud?' quiz – a real-life scenario tool that helps your plan members better recognize and prevent benefits fraud and abuse.

Menopause support

To help your employees access care, we enhanced our Sun Life Virtual Care, by Dialogue2 product with dedicated menopause support at no additional cost. 

Organizational Health initiative focused on women’s health

Our new Organizational Health initiative can help you turn your data into action to increase support and address women’s health risks in your workplace.

Prescription Drug Coverage now includes CGMs

We harmonized coverage for Continuous Glucose Monitoring systems (CGMs). Since March 1, CGMs are covered under the prescription drug provisions of your Extended Health Care (EHC) plan.

Medical cannabis coverage

Earlier this year, we expanded our optional medical cannabis coverage to include chronic and neuropathic pain – at no additional cost to your plan.

Disability solutions: Evolving to improve outcomes

Disability management is getting more complex. We’ve put new initiatives in place to help tackle case complexities, promote early intervention and support faster recoveries.

Yukon National Pharmacare

The Yukon National Pharmacare program took effect on April 15, 2026. First-dollar coverage is now available for certain diabetes and contraceptive medications for eligible Yukon residents.

BC Pharmacare

On March 1, BC implemented the National Pharmacare Plan. This plan includes first-dollar coverage for select diabetes medications and menopausal hormone therapy medications.

The impact of poor sleep in the workplace

New research: Wake-up call. The hidden cost of poor sleep – and what we can do about it. In partnership with Ipsos, we identified key barriers to quality sleep and how group benefits can support sleep wellness.

Sun Life Benefits Explorer

In January we launched Sun Life Benefits Explorer – an advanced analytics dashboard. It provides data-driven insights into your group benefits plan’s utilization and performance, helping you understand and manage it more effectively.

New life insurance eClaims platform

We announced the launch of a new life insurance eClaims platform that transforms how plan sponsors and Third-Party Administrators submit claims. The platform eliminates paper submissions and significantly reduces processing errors.

Ongoing enhancements to mysunlife.ca

We're continuously enhancing mysunlife.ca to deliver a more intuitive experience for plan members. Simplified navigation makes it easier to access important features, such as coverage details, submitting claims, claim statements, and more.

Retired the Lumino Health Virtual Care brand

Lumino Health Virtual Care, provided by Dialogue3 is now rebranded as Sun Life Virtual Solutions, by Dialogue.4
